On October the 26th, artist Kent Williams is coming to Manila and we at HoneycombCommunities get the opportunity to cover it for the Fully Booked website (a client).
I think that this is pretty cool… Obviously. Kent’s work is totally sick, sick stuff and it’s gonna be interesting to cover both the art exhibit in the Manila Peninsula (October 26th) and the book signing in the Fully Booked Bonifacio High Street store (on the 27th). If you are free on either of those days, I’d love to see you there. Maybe you could even pick up a copy of his graphic novel “The Fountain” at Fully Booked and get it signed! It’s only Php 840 and it’s so worth the price. Some of the original artwork pages are currently on display in the High Street store, if you’re interested in having an early look.
Pre-production kicks off early for this one, since we hope to have coverage posted almost immediately after the event — including our video interview. We really want to do Kent’s name justice. Interview prep and research starts now!
Kent, a friend of Fully Booked, is a renowned artist known for his contributions to Marvel Comics’ Epic Illustrated, and his covers for Vertigo’s Hellblazer. Most recently, he created the art of The Fountain, a graphic novel collaboration with filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, derived from the latter’s film script of the same name. It is a timeless story of love that literally spans the ages.
